About
Allie Weiss, DAcCHM, LAc
Board-Certified Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Licensed Acupuncturist.
Allie Weiss is a board-certified Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (DAcCHM) and licensed acupuncturist. She earned her bachelor's degree in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed her doctoral training at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego, California.
While studying at Tulane, Dr. Allie experienced a period of significant health challenges following mold exposure in her living environment. What began as persistent fatigue gradually expanded into anxiety, digestive symptoms, and physical pain. The experience changed the way she thought about health and healing, especially as symptoms that seemed separate began to feel increasingly connected.
That period ultimately drew her toward Chinese medicine, where she found an approach to health that made sense of what had once felt disconnected. It continues to shape the way she practices today, especially with patients who feel depleted, overwhelmed by stress, or frustrated by symptoms that do not seem to have one simple explanation.
Dr. Allie's clinical focus includes chronic pain and headaches, anxiety and mood concerns, digestive and hormonal concerns, sleep, and stress-related conditions.
Auricular acupuncture and microsystem approaches have become a strong focus of her clinical work. These methods use specific areas of the body, such as the ear, as a map for treating broader patterns. She was introduced to this work early in her training and found that it came especially naturally to her. She also values its ability to support both physical and emotional concerns.
Care is individualized and may include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, fire cupping, Eastern nutrition, and lifestyle guidance.
Her approach is collaborative and grounded in the belief that Eastern and Western perspectives do not need to exist separately. Looking at health through more than one lens can often offer a fuller understanding of what may be contributing to a patient's symptoms and how best to support them.
Originally from the North Shore suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Allie moved to San Diego, California, while completing her doctorate and quickly felt at home along the coast.
Outside the clinic, music is a constant in her life. She loves live shows, discovering new artists, and the way a song can completely shift the feeling of a moment. She also enjoys long walks by the ocean, cooking for friends, exploring farmers markets, traveling, and tending to her herb and vegetable garden.
At JUJUBE Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, Dr. Allie's goal is to create a space that feels warm, thoughtful, and deeply individualized, where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care.
